To celebrate the final days of Women’s History Month, we’re spotlighting our Chief Legal & Administrative Officer Lindsey Haswell in our Trailblazing Women of Crypto series.
An invaluable member of the team, Lindsey oversees a world-class legal, compliance, and HR operation (yes, all three) for a growing, global organization in a rapidly evolving industry that often lacks clear-cut guidance from regulators. Lindsey has built a world-class team that describes her as an “inspiring, intentional, and thoughtful leader.”
With a background in consumer-facing tech startups, scaling teams for Uber, Lime, and her own startup, Lindsey is no stranger to fast-growing unicorns in emerging industries. A founding member of Uber’s legal team, she has a knack for guiding growth-stage businesses through uncharted legal and regulatory waters with grace.
What distinguishes Lindsey is her personal touch in leadership that helps each member feel valued — like welcome boxes for new joiners, cakes on birthdays, soups on sick days, and holiday surprises. Lindsey shows up for her teams in a big way, and in turn, they show up for the business.
Outside of work, Lindsey is a proud founding member of BFF, a community and decentralized organization (DAO) that helps women and non-binary people get educated, connected, and financially rewarded in crypto and web3.
What Women’s History Month means to Lindsey:
“It means helping educate and share my experience with other women to get them involved in this industry too. 81% of cryptocurrency buyers are men. We have to do better and reduce entry barriers for women so that they don’t miss out on this wealth creation event.”
